Argeles sur mer property is surprisingly reasonable, typically a 3 bed villa would cost around €350,000, whereas apartments in argeles sur mer start at around the €100,000 level. Collioure property on the other hand is much more expensive, due to it's colourful and picturesque fishing port setting but having said that, is it really that expensive, considering it is one of the warmest, sunniest, characterful spots in France and just a hop and a skip from the Spanish border. A well located, good spec 2 bed apartment in Collioure may well cost you in the region of €250,000 but if you are planning to rent to other holiday makers the return on your investment could be tremendous plus you will have secured yourself bricks and mortar in a fabulous part of the world!
Perpignan is the major town, full of Catalan influences, oozing a Spanish flavour - Seeped in history and best explored on foot, loose yourself among the narrow winding streets, where you'll find cool shops and restaurants in abundance. Getting to Perpignan is cheap and easy, with a well serviced airport that may be small on size but big on connections to other European Cities - Southampton, Dublin, Paris, Palma de Mallorca, London-Stanstead to name a few. Perpignan property prices offer good value and should be considered if you are looking for a safe long term investment, with a lot of warm sunshine and enjoyment along the way
