French Property Price Guide
Some general points (guide-lines only!)
– prices tend to increase as you go further South
– coastal properties are more expensive than inland properties
– properties near Budget air-line airports are more expensive
– chic destinations are expensive: Cannes, St Tropez, Nice, St Raphael, Paris, Luberon (Peter Mayle country), Le Touquet, Dordogne, Ski Resorts like Meribel
– Rural property is cheaper than urban property
– Limousin, Champagne-Ardenne, and Franche-Comte have cheap rural property. Be warned property prices are rising
– Provence, Paris, Vannes (South Brittany), Val d’Isere are expensive
