Marne Department

 

Marne is a département in northeastern France named after the Marne River, whose source is largely found in the department. The capital or Préfecture of the Marne is Châlons-en-Champagne (formerly known as Châlons-en-Marne). Regional capitals sous-préfectures are Epernay, Reims, Sainte-Menehould, and Vitry-le-François.
