Collioure property on the other hand is much more expensive, due to it's colourful and picturesque fishing port setting but having said that, is it really that expensive, considering it is one of the warmest, sunniest, characterful spots in France and just a hop and a skip from the Spanish border. Perpignan is the major town, full of Catalan influences, oozing a Spanish flavour - Seeped in history and best explored on foot, loose yourself among the narrow winding streets, where you'll find cool shops and restaurants in abundance. Getting to Perpignan is cheap and easy, with a well serviced airport that may be small on size but big on connections to other European Cities - Southampton, Dublin, Paris, Palma de Mallorca, London-Stanstead to name a few.
