Attractions in Var

In the Haut Var – Tradition and serenity: with its old perched villages not far from the Verdon Gorges: Cotignac, Tourtour, dominating as far as the eye can see, its traditional provencal villages:Villecroze, Aups, Entrecasteaux, Sillans La Cascade, Tourettes, Fayence, Sillans, where one can still find old stone country houses, charms of another age.

Provence Verte – a footbridge of greenery between the sea and the scrubland, many vineyards and olive groves following one another, the quietude of shades reflects the softness of living.

Coast – Boasts 300 km of shoreline on the Mediterranean Sea. Beautiful sandy beaches, wild cliffs plunging straight into the sea, protected islands like Porquerolles, well known beach resorts such as St Tropez, St Raphael, Ste Maxime, Bormes les Mimosas, marina towns that are worth the detour like Port Grimaud and Cogolin.

Property in Var

Prices generally decrease as you go inland from the Mediterranean coast. Old Mas and Bastides built of stones are still available in the north of the department. Nice traditional Provencal villas with swimming pool in the Inland offer good rental yields from Easter till October; there is a lack of gites and B&B, so still places to create some.
