appearance from the eroded extinct volcanoes. Climate: Cold on high ground
during the winter, warm summers.
Auvergne Property here. BrittanyNorth and Western France surrounded by water on 3 sides -
Channel and Atlantic Ocean. Wet and windy in the winter but fresh summers with
sun. Property more expensive on the coast but rural central Brittany much
cheaper.
Brittany Property here. BurgundyVineyards, and rural retreats are popular - can be expensive
in popular Tourist areas. Cold, sharp winters - good Summers.
Burgundy Property here. Champagne-ArdenneChampagne flows here(!) but prices can be much cheaper in
the rural areas. Diverse landscapes. Cold in winter but plenty of sun in the
Summer.
Champagne-Ardenne property here. CentrePopular Loire Valley with lovely chateaux and good warm
sunny Summers. Property can be more expensive along the Loire but property
prices much cheaper in the South of Centre.
Centre Property here. CorsicaIsland in the Mediterranean - mild sunny winters and hot
summers. Property can be expensive but it is worth it!

Property here. Franche-ComteSpectacular scenery but can be very cold in the winter.
Lovely warm sunny Summers. Plenty of property bargains in this region.
Franche-Comte Property here. Ile-de-FranceParis - need we say more. Investment property in Paris
popular - prices reasonable for a capital city.
Ile-de-France Property here. Languedoc-RoussillonGrowing in popularity with skiing on the Spanish border, and
miles of sandy beaches. Prices have been rising here - property cheaper away
from the coast. Mild winters and 300 days of sunshine.
Languedoc-Roussillon Property here. LimousinCentral France but with many lakes and lovely Summers but
short sharp cold winters. Up and coming area - house prices are beginning to
rise.
Limousin Property here. LorraineNorth and Eastern France - not especially popular as a
holiday destination. Cold winters but plenty of sun in the Summer. Rural
property cheap.

Property here. Lower NormandyVery popular with the Brits and as a result property prices
have risen. Green rolling landscapes with plenty of popular beaches. Rural
property prices still very attractive.
Lower Normandy Property here. Midi-PyreneesDown on the Spanish border - huge variation in scenery. This
region has plenty to offer with lovely warm summers, and skiing in the winter.
Property prices are reasonable with plenty of bargains in the countryside.
Midi-Pyrenees Property here. Nord Pas-de-CalaisJust across the Channel with easy access by ferry and
tunnels, this remains a popular area. Climate similar to south of England.
Plenty of sandy beaches and green rolling landscapes to the south. Rural
property prices have risen but plenty to choose from.
Nord Pas-de-Calais Property here. PicardyProperty around the Somme and close to the beach popular. Again climate similar to South of England. Picardy Property here.
