A delightful 5 double bedroomed Alpine style house built to a high standard in 1977, situated on rising ground overlooking the old village of Seix with its old chateau and XVth century church.

Situated in the foothills of the midi-Pyrenees in the Ariege, this village is very popular for lovers of outdoor pursuits which the area offers. Not to be missed are Prehistoric cave paintings, subterranean rivers, the spa at Aulus les Bains, the medieval town of Mirepoix, and Andorra. The Tour de France annually runs through the village. If that is not enough, the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts are motorway accessible , a two hour and four hour journey respectively.

1hour from Toulouse airport (Easyjet) to the local market town of St.Giron, and then half an hour up the mountain river valley to Seix. A further half an hour takes you to the ski slopes of Guzet-Neige with all colour ski runs for all the family.

The house itself is built of rendered brick to the ground floor and totally of wood to the first and second floors. The external doors and windows are purpose built in hardwood as is the decorative internal staircase to the upper floors. Central heating is provided by an oil fired hot air ducted system throughout or by two wood burning stoves in the entrance hall and in the living room.

The habitable area is 150 square meters and consists of :

Tiled floor entrance hall (2.9m x 2.2m) with WC and Jotel wood burning stove. Glazed door through to lobby with stairs to upper floors. Doors leading to Bedroom 1 (2.85m x3.20m) with French windows to garden, Bedroom 2 with adjoining shower cubicle and hand basin , 12 square meters in all, and French windows to garden . Hessian carpeting to lobby and bedrooms. Door to utility room housing boiler and fuel tank. Used as laundry and workshop. Door from utility room to 30square meter integral garage. Double opening doors from either end of garage.

A 10 meter high laurel hedge screens the woods to the rear.

This house has provided great holidays for all the family with all grandchildren now excellent skiers and hikers, added to which is the potential for letting for 12 months of the year.
