Nr Sees Property Description
The three cottages are owned by seven families as shareholders of a LLC limited company. Each family has exclusive use of the cottages for one month each year during the prime holiday
season, April to October, and the remainder of the year is also available. Ownership means equal sharing of occupancy, appreciation and expenses. Equal voting rights.
Located in a tiny hamlet easily within two hours of Paris by train, the stone cottages are halfway between the towns of Argentan and Alençon. Mont St Michel, D-Day Beaches, Honfleur, Bayeux Tapestry, Wm the Conqueror’s Birthplace Castle (Falaise) – plus LeMans and the splendor of the Loire Valley – lie within an hour or two by car from home. The cottages are three miles from the small city of Sées (on the River Orne), with its 12th century Cathedral, Saturday outdoor market, supermarkets, many shops and restaurants. The drive to British ferries is as short as an hour.
Unlike a timeshare, you own one-seventh of the property outright. It becomes yours – yours to participate in any appreciation, to be part of your estate, and yours to sell at will, at your price. You and your fellow owners comprise the LLC, which functions like a homeowner’s association (annual meetings, by-laws, equal voting rights, agreed upon weeks for exclusive use of property, equal sharing of expenses). Cottages are for the exclusive use of owners and their guests – not to be leased or rented. (We all treat the cottages as if they were our own – because they are!)
