The main motorways E3 and E401 can be joined ( approx 15 kilometres from the barn ) before you reach Villedieu-les-Poules, and lead to Caen to the north east and Le Mont St Michel and Avranches to the south west. Nearest mainroad is the D924 from Granville to Villedieu, approx 5 kilometres from the barn.
The property consists of a stone built, two storey, semi-detached barn with farmland views in all directions. The barn measures 9.7 metres x 7.17 metres externally. The ground floor is divided into two areas, 5.87 x 4.68 mtres and 5.87 x 2.67 metres internally. The first floor has joists but no floorboards. The walls are solid and thick and in good condition, as is the slated roof. The high roof pitch would accommodate additional rooms if permission was granted. Outside there is approximately 260 sq metres of land and road access. There is very little passing traffic and the location is rural and quiet.
Permission was granted in 1990 to convert the barn into a home and the plans that were then submitted are still available, but permission will need to be renewed.
The adjoining barn, in need of roof repair, may be available for purchase to make a larger property or to provide more land area.
A water supply is located within the building and the electricity supply was connected to the building in 1990.
