Tilly Property Description
This barn is in a nice hamlet not far from the little village of Tilly where there are a few shops including a small general store and baker, and just 5 minutes away is the lively little town of Chaillac with many more shops and services including a mini supermarket and some really great bars and restaurants.
As you can see from the picture, the barn has a house attached on either side that are not part of the sale as they are lived in permanently by your French neighbours! However, at this price it will make a great project for someone and the neighbours all seemed very friendly when I visited.
The property looks like one big barn from the outside as well as on the inside as the internal walls have mostly been taken down, however it actually consists of a small derelict cottage to the left with a fireplace and an attic above, and a barn on the right, in total about 100m² on the ground. The property is in a pretty poor state of repair and has a structural problem to the rear that has been partially shored up but will need a couple of tie bars and some repairs to the wall to sort it out.
Behind the property is about 350m² of land that could be made into a very nice garden – once you have put your sanitation system in of course! Both the water and the electricity are connected to the building but currently cut off and new meters will need to be put in before they are re-connected.
