The Roussillon area of France is the most southern and the sunniest part of France that has on average 300 days of sunshine: hot summers and mild winters. The traditional Catalan colours of yellow and orange now associated with the Perpignan USAP rugby team are high in evidence.
Barcelona which is about 130miles south along the A9 is an exciting and vibrant Spanish city.
