Property Description: The small country road winds up to a tiny hamlet, a remote outwork of a small village between Cluny and Charolles. When we arrive at the hamlet we have still a tiny road to take, and the tarmac road ends at the property. The situation could therefore not be quieter, and it goes without saying that the views are splendid. The old farmhouse has been painstakingly restored over more than fifteen years, and above all a lovely garden has been created, complete with flower beds, a pool (above ground) and a pond shaded by a huge weeping willow. Everything in the garden is lovely, as the old saying goes. And the house is good too, with its original farmhouse kitchen modernised and still used as a kitchen, next to it the salon with tiled floor, and stairs leading up to a corridor with two bedrooms, one very large with private bathroom, and the other more modest in size. On the second storey two more bedrooms, created from the old granary, and with the fine roof timbers in evidence. To one side of the kitchen a bathroom and a utility room, plus the official front door leading out to the car parking area, and then the central heating boiler - gas has been abandoned in favour of greener, more economical wood. At right-angles to the house a large barn which has been partly renovated. The owners intended to create in the upper part a large living area, which has had its floors installed and may shortly get the windows and the little staircase leading from the entrance hall. There is also a pretty old bread-oven which with its climbing roses and old roof-tiles has a great deal of charm. Not a property for those wanting close neighbours, but the glorious views and the sweep of the countryside are irresistible.
