Seglien is a small village with 2 bars, a post office, church, school and 2 small shops.
Guemene sur Scorff is 7 km distant and which has everything one could need bars restaurants supermarkets, a cinema and doctors, dentists. In the opposite direction is Pontivy (20 km). This is a large town full of shops and amenities.
There are buses from Seglien to Guemene and Pontivy and onwards to the coast.
The coast is 45 mionutes by car where there are some fantastic beaches.
Lake Guerledan is 15 minutes away by car with fantastic views and walking in Quenecan Forest, which surrounds the Lake.
