Sevignac Property Description
The property consists of two houses, a two storey barn and a garden. It is situated in the village of Sevignac – a charming village situated in the beautiful countryside of northern Brittany, offering country bars, a traditional village shop and a magnificent church. The village bakery is only a few steps away from the property, with its freshly baked bread and croissants. Boules and tennis courts are there to enjoy, along with natural beauty spots, woodland walks and breathtaking views only 15 minutes walk away. It is also an ideal base from which to visit the beaches and many historical sites in the area.
The lakes of Jugon and St. Launeuc offering fishing, boating and inexpensive water sports are within easy reach and there is also an open-air swimming pool in nearby Broons. Golf and horse riding are also on offer in the surrounding area.
The main house consists of three bedrooms and a large attic space that would make a fantastic master bedroom with en-suite. The existing master bedroom has a double bed, canvas-type wardrobe and pine chest of drawers. The second bedrooms includes a bunk-bed, and the third a single bed.
Downstairs includes a spacious dining area, with adjoining lounge. This area has a traditional fireplace, double sofa bed, comfy chair, a large bookcase and a great Welsh dresser. Adjoining the dining area is the kitchen, equipped with a fridge-freeze, microwave and cooker. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom, consisting of a bath with over-head shower and separate WC and a good sized utility area. The house has an oil central heating system.
The second house is just over the lane and is used as a store at the moment, but has much potential. It could be renovated to make a two or three bedroom cottage, with a small area suitable for a patio or small garden.
The barn, to which the garden is adjacent, has a large stone fireplace, and is a great area for storage or renovation. |
