Worried about the Exchange rate

The euro has been gaining at sterling's expense over the last few weeks - effectively making a French Property purchase more expensive for UK buyers.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that the euro interest rate is particularly attractive compared with the UK rate.

French Mortgages

For example, it is possible to fix rates at less than 5% for up to 7 years. There are many French Financial institutions offering great fixed rates and capped mortgages. Many of the UK banks can offer Euro mortgages or partner with French Banks to offer a range of mortgage products.

Our advice - shop around for a good rate. If you are worried about the exchange rate, there are many currency exchange companies offering the opportunity to forward buy at today's rates.
