Take advantage of French tourism in Western Loire

Few people need an excuse to head to the stunning Loire Valley during the summer months and those looking to buy French property would do well to stop off for a quick visit.

The stunning region has long been known for its fine food and wines, hospitable natives and picturesque villages, but this summer it looks set to pull in visitors to an altogether new attraction.

Descending on the area is the Loire Estuary Project 2007 which this summer will turn the river into a 40 mile long art show.

Tourists to flock to the Loire Valley

The event is good news for those who have property in the Loire Valley area as hundreds of tourists are expected to flood to the area to enjoy the show and will all be looking for accommodation.

Artists from across the globe including Mexico, Cuba, the Netherlands and Belgium will feature in the show with outdoor displays being held in towns and cities across the region.

Among the more popular installations are expected to be an 80-foot duck, a floating house and stunning water fountains.

Deals on French hotels

For those who are visiting the area and considering whether to make an investment in the local property market, there are plenty of French hotels who will be doing deals.

Most in Nantes St Nazaire will be offering up special rates while one campsite has even decided to become part of the artwork featuring amphibious caravans, floating saucers, tree houses and cardboard houses.

The project is set to be repeated in 2009 and 2011, which bodes well for those investing in the already hugely popular region.
