Speed skiers swoosh into Rhone Alps
For most of the UK, it feels like summer is just around the corner but in some areas of France, skiers are still strutting their stuff on the slopes.
And what better place to show off your moves than the Rhone Alps region at what is arguably the most spectacular event in the winter sports calendar which takes place this week.
Professionals and spectators alike will be heading to Les Arcs for the much awaited grand final of the speed skiing season.
The event sees contestants skiing as fast as possible along a one kilometre stretch of snow with many reaching speeds of up to 250 kph.
