On the open road in Provence

Provence is renowned for its beauty and peaceful atmosphere but for ten days each year the region's quiet roads are invaded by the honks and revving of hundreds of vintage cars.

Whether you have bought Provence property for sale or already have a holiday home in the region, car fans would do well to head to the Alpes Retro antique car show.

Cars at Cours Mirabeau

The event in Cours Mirabeau is attended by people from miles around who come to marvel at the old vehicles on display.

Owners, many of whom have spent years restoring their cars to their former glory proudly, tour Provence in their vintage Rolls Royces, De Sotos, Albas and Horches.

The procession kicks off from Cours Mirabeau where visitors can get up close to the cars on display before they head off.

Hit the road

Those who take part in the tour itself enjoy one of the most beautiful scenic routes in Europe, with ten days of glorious sunshine and open road.

Held from July 22nd to 29th each year, the event is ideal for car enthusiasts as well as families and is one of hundreds of events on offer in Provence throughout the summer.
