Normandy: Not to be missed
Lower Normandy
People looking for properties in the Normandy province will not be disappointed. The region is conveniently located for Paris and is just across the Channel from England.
Lower Normandy, or Basse-Normandie, not to be missed.
The region, including Orne, Calvados and Manche, boasts seaside towns and resorts often frequented by Parisians on day trips.
It is famous for its D-Day beaches, which were used for landing in the Second World War and as such, there is a rich historical flavour in the area with several dedicated museums and memorials.
Visitors will be able to check out the famous St Michel Abbey and enjoy the good life at the many seaside resorts and casinos.
Brittany
Close to Normandy is the delightful Brittany Brittany in western France.
People wanting to buy a property in this area - but are not yet fluent in the language - can visit one of the English and French speaking estate agents for help.
The area has a lot to offer for house hunters, with 800 miles of rocky coastline, characteristic fishing villages and a rich Celtic history.
The Breton language is unique to the region and visitors can immerse themselves in a truly French way of life by enjoying the idyllic countryside, exploring castles, or visiting chapels and old villages.
