New flights to France's slopes launched
Heading to France's ski resorts has just become that bit easier after an airline has announced the launch of a new flight headed straight from the UK to the mountains.
Tourists are expected to flock to the resort of Chambrey over the ski season when Astraeus Flystar introduces direct flights from Gatwick airport.
Head to the slopes Skiers and snowboarders often choose to head to the slopes of France over neighbouring European ski resorts as it is not only closer but provides some of the best runs in Europe.
This is good news for any investors considering buying French property in the area as they are likely to get guaranteed return from December to April.
Hugh Parry, managing director of Astraeus, said: "The scheduled service will allow passengers the flexibility to travel independently to what has become a very popular skiing region."
New route provides 'convenient gateway' The new route will provide winter sports fans with a "convenient gateway" to a number of other French resorts including Tignes, Meribel, Val d'Isere and Courchevel.
