Meet the Vikings of Normandy
For anyone interested in the history of France, Normandy is the ideal place to head to get a real feel of how the country has changed throughout the years.
Enjoy historic Normandy Whether you are looking at buying Normandy property for sale or simply hoping to learn more about the region's past there is plenty to entertain the hungry historian.
The Bayeux Tapestry and D-Day landing exhibitions provide plenty of material for children and adults alike to enjoy but for those who want to delve deeper, there is even more on offer.
Fun for all at Viking Festival Every year, visitors to the Normandy town of Eu enjoy a Viking festival where locals re-enact life in an ancient village, based on the Viking marauders of 1,200 years ago.
The 11 day event, held in the historic town on the borders of Normandy and Picardy, sees up to 300 'Vikings' dress up and enjoy feasting and dancing.
Some revellers even take part in choreographed fights to ensure the event is as authentic as possible.
But for members of the family who prefer the quiet life, Eu in Dieppe, is also home to pretty little streets and houses, monuments and wooded areas to explore.
