Horse around in Limousin

The Pompadour Horse Competition The Pompadour Horse Competition sees the best in French equestrian with visitors being entertained by the stud stallions, carriage driving, flat and obstacle races as well as nighttime show jumping competitions.
Pompadour has long been famous for the breeding of Anglo-Arab horses and the original stud farm, which is still running, was set up by Louis XV.
Fun for all the family Whether you are a horse lover or simply want to experience a taste of the countryside, the competition comes highly recommended as an enjoyable trip for all the family.
The stables are worth visiting all year round for there are plenty of activities on offer but the August competition is by far the highlight of the year.
