Hundreds gather at the sea port of Roscoff, on Brittany's northern coast, to celebrate all things onion including onion tart, onion soup and even onion bread.
A historic look at Brittany's pink onion The little town of Roscoff has grown the pink onion since the 17th century and it has now become a well sought after delicacy.
Visitors to the festival will be invited to the onion art exhibition as well as a delightful concert at the quai d'Auxerre followed by a torchlit procession.
Something to suit all tastes at Roscoff The fun continues throughout the weekend with farming enthusiasts being invited to explore an antique tractor fair, while the more sporty revellers can try their luck in a 100km bike race.
