French tourism boosted by Tour de France
If you are thinking of moving to Paris and want to see it at its best it may be worth heading down for the world famous final stage of the Tour de France.
Thousands of spectators will line the streets on July 29th to catch a glimpse of the cyclists as they pedal their way across the finish line on the Champs Elysees.
Thousands head for French cycling race As well as tourists from all over the world, French people from across the country flock to the capital to witness the event and cheer on the participants.
Although no French national has won the event since Bernard Hinault in 1985, locals will be there in force hoping one of their own will be in the running for the yellow jersey which is awarded to the winner under the Arc de Triomphe.
Cycling for all in France You may not be ready to take part in the historical Tour de France but if you are a keen cyclist and are thinking of investing in a holiday home abroad our nearest neighbour may be a good option.
Miles of unspoilt countryside and cycle tracks means that families, couples and friends can all enjoy hopping on their bikes and soaking up the French atmosphere.
