French leasebacks
There are so many options as to the type of French property an investor can buy that they often get distracted from the potential gains they could make by considering opting for a leaseback scheme.
French leaseback allows investors to buy a freehold property in a region of their choice and receive a guaranteed rental income from it.
Explanation of French Leaseback The properties are generally located in tourist spots to accommodate visitors to France on a short term basis and are run by property management firms who you 'lease back' your property to.
This allows investors to own a property but avoid being stuck with the general maintenance issues and hassle of having to rent it out.
The guaranteed rental income varies and will obviously reduce if you decide to use the property on a regular basis for holidays, but the scheme is certainly worth considering if you want to earn some extra cash but have little time to organise tenants.
Leaseback ideal long term investment It is best as a long term investment for those who don't want to take too much of a risk and while it may not be as flexible as other types of renting, it is certainly a financially viable option.
French leaseback properties come in all shapes and sizes, with cottages, ski chalets, houses, flats and studios all available to savvy investors.
