French investment in Le Mans

French property investors would do well to consider buying property in sunny La Mans.

This year, tourists are expected to flock to the area, not only to enjoy the stunning countryside and glorious weather but experience the world famous 24 hour Le Mans race.

Ongoing since the 1920s, the legendary race through historic France sees spectators come from miles around to watch the competition.

It has become a major test of endurance, with participants spending 1,440 minutes on the road.

History of the Loire race

The drive began in 1923 after Le Mans automobile club decided to commemorate Amedee Bollee's journey from Ile de France to Western Loire back when cars were a lot slower and less comfortable than those that can be seen today.

Spectators who decide to head down for the day will be able to catch a glimpse of some vintage cars and some of the most sought-after vehicles in the world including elegant Aston Martins, Corvettes and Lamborghinis.

French tourism in the area

The Loire Valley is not just known for the Le Mans race however and has plenty to offer visitors in terms of summer activities.

This is good news for anyone thinking of buying a French holiday home as there will always be tourist willing to pay to rent out a room in the region for a few weeks.
