Feel the music of Limousin
For music fans there is no better place to head during the summer than the beautiful Limousin region in France.
The area plays host to numerous festivals for anyone who enjoys relaxing to the sounds of instruments or singing but one of the most popular is the annual Orchestrades Festival.
Brive-la-Gaillarde welcomes talented youngsters Held in Brive-la-Gaillarde, the event sees up to 800 young musicians join forces to entertain the masses with concerts and workshops suitable for all ages.
The festival is free to attend and organisers recommend visitors stick around for the grande finale when 700 participants take part in a special concert.
Youngsters who are musically acclaimed or want to start to learn an instrument can rehearse and get advice from others and British kids can get a chance to meet some French friends, with this month's theme being Europe in Music.
The region for adventure Despite its beauty, Limousin has only recently become popular with tourists many of whom want to experience off-the-beaten track holidays and capture the atmosphere and traditions of rural France.
The area is therefore becoming increasingly attractive to property investors taking advantage or the growing number of visitors wanting accommodation in the region.
