Family activities in the Loire Valley
If you are living in France but always considered the Loire Valley as a place most suitable for grown ups, think again.
There is plenty on offer throughout the region for all the family with the beautiful Chateau de la Verrerie providing a particularly entertaining backdrop for kids.
Children welcomed at Chateau de la Verrerie Each year, a number of children's days are held at the magnificent 16th century chateau where youngsters are given the opportunity to meet medieval costumed knights, get involved in games and browse the numerous stalls for food, toys and souvenirs.
Families are also welcome to stay the night in the chateau which has 12 rooms available for visitors.
Other attractions of the Loire Valley Often referred to as the "garden of France", the Loire Valley is the ideal place both for buying French property and visiting with the family.
Playing host to vineyards, rolling green hills and more than a thousand chateaux, the luxurious area is just waiting to be explored.
As France's third largest wine region, the Loire Valley is also the ideal place to sample what many argue is the country's greatest export.
