Family Friendly Hotels in Auvergne

When traveling in the Auvergne region of France there are many different sites to see and cities to visit. Some of these must see places are a bit out of the way, so hotels will be more like inns or old mansions transformed into hotels in these areas. This lends a special air to the stay because there is history involved and all the old hotels have a story to tell. Families visiting this area can find quite a few different hotels that are great, even for young kids. They may not have all the features a typical kid friendly hotel might have, however the atmosphere and location are enough to awe any kid, even the adults! The following three hotels are a few of the ones that are recommended for families and they are affordable, which is what most families must look for when traveling.

Hotel Saluces

The Hotel Saluces costs about $100 per night. This hotel was a private residence of Marquie de Lur Saluces during the 16^th century. He was the governor of Salers and his memory continues through is residence which is now a small hotel. The décor is simple, yet beautiful. Mostly cement tiles, slate, marble, and wrought iron. The eight rooms are decorated differently and are different sizes, but this adds to the charm and quaint atmosphere of the Hotel Saluces.

La Joie de Vivre Hotel-Restaurant

This hotel costs about $45 per night, which many families can really appreciate because they can likely afford two rooms to spread out and enjoy. The location of the hotel is just a street from La Bourboule. It is a great place to start exploring. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are simple, but it is a great bargain. The hosts and food are excellent as well. Families with kids young and old will enjoy this hotel.

Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel is affordable as well at only $47 per night. The hotel was a mansion that was restored and turned into a hotel. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden where families can enjoy some fresh air and a stroll. The hosts are excellent and very helpful, so families will really enjoy this particular hotel when visiting Auvergne.  

There are many other family friendly hotels in Auvergne, France, but these are just a few that families will find affordable and a wonderful fit for their young ones.
