Consider investing on French slopes
Investors are being advised to consider buying property in French ski resorts to take advantage of the growing popularity of the sport among holidaymakers.
According to the latest figures, the number of people who are heading to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding holidays is on the up, which bodes well for property investors thinking of obtaining a buy to let mortgage.
French skiing holidays more popular Travel firm First Choice claims that currently, the sale of skiing holidays across Europe is growing between one per cent and three per cent each year.
It also said that although traditionally holidaymakers would tend to head to the slopes in winter, a trip to the mountains was now becoming an almost year round activity.
A spokesperson for the firm said that France "is still very popular with guests who are very keen skiers and boarders" adding that First Choice was seeing a "growth in demand for family holidays and we still see great demand over the half term weeks".
France ideal for property investors Property investors may want to consider the new developments on France's slopes where they can buy chalets and log cabins to rent out to sporty holidaymakers all year round.
They are even likely to receive rental income during the summer months, with many families heading to the mountains on walking or cycling holidays.
