Chic Riviera still proving a hit
A property expert has revealed that the stunning French Riviera may be the ideal place to buy property as its popularity with the rich and famous was making it an "exclusive" place to be seen.
According to French estate agent Cluttons, the area also has a limited amount of plots to buy, therefore adding to the demand for housing.
Shopping and sun Those who are thinking of buying French property to rent out would do well to consider this part of the country as holidaymakers flock to the area for shopping, sunbathing and celebrity spotting.
Famous faces from footballers to Hollywood starlets have homes in the area making it a prestigious place to be seen, with property investors fetching a good return on rented accommodation.
According to Olivier Morvan of Cluttons, in France "you will always keep the value of the property" while Knight Frank's Paul Humphreys revealed that house prices in the French Riviera are "as strong as they have ever been".
Less work more play in the Riviera When buying in France it may be a good idea to opt for one of the country's new developments, as this type of property needs less work and is less costly to maintain.
