Brits can get 'good deal on Dordogne property for sale'
Brits have long flocked to buy Dordogne properties, with the area offering an escape to country life which in many ways can no longer be offered by the now more glitzy celeb haunts of Provence and the Cote d'Azur.
Although these areas remain as popular as ever, those who are looking for a more relaxed life in the French countryside are advised to look at Dordogne property for sale, as according to one expert, there are still bargains to be had in the area.
Investors attracted to Dordogne lifestyle Situated in the south west of France, the area is famous for its stunning cuisine including world class fois gras and truffles.
Its quaint, rural feel has made it a popular spot for UK investors, particularly those who are desperate to leave behind the rat race and it can still offer some great deals to investors.
Cheap property in Dordogne region Shannon Roxborough, who works for US travel advice website Foreignpassport.com, told the North Jersey Media Group that "savvy, forward thinking second home buyers can still find some of the best real estate deals in France in this largely overlooked region".
She added that the town of Mareuil had some stunning old buildings which were selling at cheap prices, while French farmhouses and land nearby are also available at a relatively low cost.
