If you are thinking of heading to a sunnier climate to start a new life, a scheme which has just been launched in France may give you a helping hand.
People who are thinking of starting up a business such as a bed and breakfast or Gites may benefit from the project launched this week by France’s national weather service.
The scheme is aimed at letting companies know when there will be big changes in the weather so that they can prepare for the eventuality of a heatwave or cold patch.
Scheme good news for tourism industry
This is good news for people who are moving to France to start a business aimed at attracting tourists as they will have a better idea of when they can expect the sunshine and therefore, the visitors.
Named Metnext, the system is designed to warn businesses about upcoming weather risks, which will also give firms the chance to ensure their air conditioning systems are working.
