French tourism booming in Nice

There are few who come away from visiting the stunning city of Nice in the south of France who can say it did not have plenty to offer visitors.

Located on the Cote d’Azur, Nice has long been popular with tourists who head there to enjoy the warm Mediterranean climate and welcoming locals.

Those who are unconvinced by the heat are usually impressed by Nice’s stunning flower market, lengthy coastline, great shopping and ample pastry and cake shops.


Visitors flock for summer of music


The city welcomes tourists all year round but one of its more popular times of year is the annual Nice Musical Nights festival.

Held from July 12th to August 20th, the event sees dozens of concerts enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, with music performed at the Opera de Nice and the Cloitre du Monastere de Cimiez.

This year, those taking part include the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice and the Ensemble Baroque de Nice.
