If you are thinking of moving abroad with the intention of working or starting up a new business then having a mobile phone is essential.

Whether you plan on retiring to France or set up a bed and breakfast, keeping in touch with family, friends and clients is a must.

Although it is advisable to also get a landline in your new French property, a mobile can give you more flexibility and allow you to be contactable by the same number even if you are travelling back and forth from the UK.
