France ‘better than Spain, safer than eastern Europe’

France is a better place to invest in than Spain and less risky than eastern European countries, according to one expert.

Trisha Mason, managing director of property firm VEF, said that the Spanish market had "fallen flat on its face" and that more people should look to buying French property instead.

She added that while it was true that the French property market may not match the capital growth seen in places such as Bulgaria, it is certainly a safer choice than any of these countries.
