We are all aware of Peter Mayle’s prolific activity in promoting the
Provence – especially the Lurberon. Now more support for the delights of
Provence!
Susan Spano writing in the Los Angeles Times identifies 3 more reasons to love
Provence:
1)
APT MARKET – For visitors, it’s a bacchanal of Provencal merchandise, along with inexpensive imported jewelry, clothing and housewares.
2) LE CASTELAS RESTAURANT- eating some of the best food in Provence with your fingers while watching the sun set over the Luberon
3) JANE EAKIN HOUSE IN MENERBES – Her paintings of its people and places were exhibited in galleries all over Europe, even though she never became famous.
Have you more reasons to love the Provence?
